This is the flagship magazine of SME, serving the manufacturing community for decades. It focuses on the practical application of technologies and strategies in manufacturing. Topics include automation, machining, additive manufacturing, aerospace & defense manufacturing, workforce development, and industry trends.

Primary Audience:
Manufacturing engineers, management professionals, and industry leaders seeking best practices and emerging technologies.

2. Publication Fees & Copyright Policy

Publication Model:
Traditional subscription-based publication. Content access is restricted to subscribers and institutional license holders.

Article Processing Charge (APC):
€1,550  for accepted manuscripts. Covers peer review management, copyediting, typesetting, and hosting.
This is NOT an Open Access fee. Articles remain behind a paywall.

No Submission Fee:
No charges for initial submission. APC is invoiced only after acceptance. After a manuscript has been accepted following peer review, the corresponding author will receive an email containing a secure online payment link. All payments are processed exclusively through our official and designated email address.

Copyright:
Upon acceptance, authors grant SME exclusive rights to publish and distribute the work in print and electronic formats.
